Anne SchaefferI grew up in western Montana and earned a nursing degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. I also met my husband Bryan at PLU. After college we settled in Seattle before moving on to Bozeman in 2016. We are blessed with three beautiful daughters, sixteen year old twins, Kiersten and Meghan and six year old Torrey. Our family loves the outdoors, hiking, biking, skiing, or working in a very modest garden at home. Last spring I attended Michael Dowd’s Pro-Future Faith series during Hope’s Adult Forum. I’ve read Hope Jahren’s, The Story OF More, and William R. Catton Jr’s book, Overshoot. The forum and the readings have helped change my focus from wishing my kids could experience the life I enjoyed growing up and instead looking forward to protecting what life should be like for them and future generations. I feel it is my duty as a parent and a Lutheran to protect them. Participating in the Creation Care Team is one way I can do that.
